Committee Changes
Secretary - John Gatty resigned as secretary and proposed Simon as a replacement. This was seconded by Andrew and carried unanimously.

Pub News
Hygiene issues reported at The Salutation in Ham. A dog was seen drinking beer from a pint glass which Keith mentioned to the staff serving. Keith followed this up later with the landlord but no action appears to have been taken as a result.
Beer condition at The Salutation in Ham also reported as not being great by some members but good by others.
The Bowl Inn (Almondsbury) has re-opened but no change reported with their beer.
Good reports of beers in Hawkes House (Thornbury) & The Wheatsheaf (Thornbury).

Brewery News



No figure for overall membership was available but 1 new member (John Buckles) was confirmed.
New member welcome letter to be resurrected and progressed by Andrew.
Lapsed members as a discussion point to be raised with B&D CAMRA at a meeting on 09/12/15.
Martin proposes sending out a mail via the CAMRA Communication Tool to all SV members reminding them of the sub branch meetings and venues.

Beer Festivals

Keith mentioned there is a Craft Beer Festival in the Colston Hall on  5-6 December 2015

Tewkesbury Winter Ales Festival is on 4-6 February 2016 and is free entry to CAMRA members on Thursday 4th February.


Temperature of beer - Keith to purchase a thermometer and progress
SV Pub of the year - Ideas to Martin on how it can operate and be voted on (including tie-break which may use WhatPub). Also ideas of what pub would be awarded as a Pub of the year prize (certificate, write up in Pints West etc.)
ACV's - Martin is attending a meeting on Saturday 21st November to discuss.

The pub served



Old Spot social has been impacted by bus timetable changes. Andrew advises that this is viable again by changing at Wotton from this Monday 23rd November due to timetable changes.
John Gatty has organised a trip to Chipping Sodbury to investigate pubs on Wednesday 25th November using the 622 bus. Contact John for details.
WhatPub flyers (and possible QR codes) to promote WhatPub voting, Martin to progress.
WhatPub scoring, Martin encouraged members to provide beer scores whenever possible.

B&D CAMRA meeting in February: Ship Inn (Alveston), Swan Inn (Tockington), The Bowl (Almondsbury), Anchor (Thornbury) and Wheatsheaf (Thornbury) are possible venues. To be communicated to B&D committee.
